The Solace & Vestige Cups — Ceramics Collection

Hand-fired at over 1320°C, the Solace & Vestige Cups wear their imperfections openly — raw, wind-worn silhouettes in stoneware, each rim touched with hand-applied gold. Where the Celestine Bowl is smooth and radiant, these cups are textured and unguarded: no two pieces share the same fracture of clay or the same fall of gold along the rim.

This is wabi-sabi made tangible — the belief that beauty is found not despite imperfection, but within it. To hold one is to hold something unfinished on purpose, a small object that asks nothing of you except to notice it. Not everything in your day needs to be smooth or finished. Some things — like this cup, like this pause — are allowed to be a little rough at the edges.
